Alexandre, Portugal -> Grécia, LDV

In the deep blue sea…

In the deep blue sea,
hiding ancient secrets,
solof Gods and forgotten muses,
when the sun melts into the sea,
emerging from the ground
among the mountains,
A beautiful city.

The name I do not know
But I know it is beautiful, luminous and radiant,
Rising from the deep blue sea…
Time slowed to know you better,
And I was delighted.
Elderly and timeless village
rising from the deep blue sea

Formalmente, adquiri as competências abaixo indicadas:

English version :

Kalamata, Grécia, 3 meses

I would like to thank the hospitality of my «hosts» Filaretos and Fotini, and all my other collegues.

The history, the culture, the gastronomy, and the sympathy of the people there are the things I will never forget.

Formally, I adquired these competences :

My mobility experience/skills acquired:

  • Learned how to work with Erasmus +, application for financing youth projects;
  • Develop language skills: Greek language/portuguese lessons (beginner level);
  • Designing ans planning educational interventions;
  • Develop transversal skills: Teamwork, intercultural skills, etc.
  • Social responsability.

I also gave portuguese classes, and even if it was a challenge to find people interested in learning my language, I did it, it worked quite very good, and it was very gratifying.

It reinforces my idea that an experience “outside my confort zone” is more than relevant. I had the priviledges to meet amazing and competent people, who were above all comprehensive and sensible. Alsp liked the city/community that was friendly, welcoming, and culturaly enriching.
