A Vânia é de Portugal e realizou um LDV em França. Esta é a partilha da sua experiência!

Era uma vez uma menina chamada Vânia que decidiu ir a uma apresentação sobre estágios Leonardo da Vinci na Associação Mais Cidadania apenas por curiosidade de informação. E que ficou agradavelmente surpresa com um projeto específico que foi aí apresentado completamente diferente dos que já conhecia: ter a possibilidade de trabalhar numa rádio. E que saiu nessa tarde decidida a enviar o currículo e a carta de motivação para esse único projeto que lhe interessava.

Mas a candidatura da Vânia foi rejeitada…

… Até mais tarde voltar a ser aceite, com marcação de entrevista, para o projeto e a altura que ela queria.

• Não posso garantir nada, a decisão não depende apenas de nós, mas assim que tiver uma resposta, comunico. – disse-lhe a presidente da associação, no fim da entrevista.
• Sim, claro. Se for para ser, será. – respondeu-lhe a Vânia.

A resposta não chegou no tempo acordado…

Um dia mais tarde o telefone toca:

• Olá Vânia, é a Luísa. Queria dizer-te que para o projeto que querias os parceiros acabaram por escolher outra pessoa, mas tenho aqui outra oportunidade. É para ir para França daqui a 3 semanas.
• Ah!… Posso dar a resposta até ao final do dia?
• Sim, vou enviar-te a informação agora, podes ler tudo e decidir. Peço desculpa por ser tão em cima da hora, mas às vezes estas oportunidades são como os comboios… Passam de repente e se não o apanhamos, não sabemos quando volta a passar.

E agora? A Vânia não se teria candidatado para esse projeto, não fazia questão de ir para França, muito menos assim de repente…

MAS…

Tanta vez não que se tornou em sim, e sim que afinal passou a ser não, que no fim foi dar a isto…

E mais um não que se revela num sim, porque a Vânia decidiu aceitar a oportunidade, que tem a certeza que não surgiu por acaso.

E foi assim que a Vânia teve uma experiência profissional que de outro modo provavelmente não teria; de vivenciar a realidade diária de uma associação que trabalha maioritariamente com projetos europeus, e aprender a sua forma de trabalhar.

Ainda mais interessante para ela, foi a possibilidade de poder conjugar essa aprendizagem com outra num domínio completamente diferente. 3 dias por semana a Vânia trabalhava na associação, enquanto os outros 2 dias acompanhava na prática um projeto social com base na agricultura biológica.

Durante BJ3 meses a Vânia morou com outra portuguesa (que foi com ela), 1 alemão e 1 italiano, que também estagiavam na associação. Lá eles encontravam-se com mais 4 jovens francesas e 1 espanhol. Nos dias da agricultura biológica o convívio era exclusivamente com franceses, muitos dos quais reformados, desempregados ou portadores de alguma deficiência.

Para a Vânia foi sem dúvida uma experiência extremamente enriquecedora com aprendizagens em múltiplos aspetos. E se ela tivesse dito que não?…

Once upon a time, a girl called Vânia went to a presentation about Leonardo da Vinci exchanges in Associaçao Mais Cidadania just to get some information. She was nicely surprised by a specific project that was totally different from the other that she already knew: the possibility to work in a radio station. She went out of the association absolutely convinced about sending the curriculum and the motivation letter only for that project. But Vânia’s wasn’t selected…

… However, some time after, she was scheduled with an appointment for an interview, for the exact same project.

• “I can’t guaranty anything. The decision is not in our hands, but as soon as I have an answer, I tell you” told me the president of the association after the interview.

• “Yes, of course. Whatever will be, will be.” – Answered I.

The answer arrived too late…

But one day after, the telephone rang:

• “Hello, Vânia. It’s Luisa. I want to tell you that another person has been selected for the project you wanted, but I have here another opportunity. It’s to go to France in three weeks.

• Ah! Can I give you my answer at the end of the day?

• Yes. I will send you all the information now, so you can read everything and take your decision. I apologize for telling you this in the last minute, but sometimes these opportunities are like trains… They pass suddenly and if you don’t catch it, nobody knows when it will pass again.”

And then? Vania wouldn’t freely apply to that project or had any will to go to France and especially at the last minute…

BUT…

Many “no” turn to be “yes”, then these “yes” turned to be “no” again, and finally it happened to her… Her “no” turned to be a “yes”, and Vânia decided to get this opportunity, certain that all of this did not happened randomly.

That was how Vânia got a professional experience that she couldn’t have in any other ways; experiencing the daily routine of an association that works with European projects and their way of working.

It was even more interesting for her to get the chance to combine what she learnt there with other way of working completely different. Vânia worked in the association three days per week and the other two days she used to do a social project about biological agriculture.

For three months, Vânia lived with another Portuguese girl (who was like her), a German and an Italian guys, and all of them worked together in the same associatio. There, they also worked with four French girls and a Spanish guy. When she was working on ecological agriculture project, she was only working with French people who were unemployed, retired or with some disability.

It was, without any doubt, a extremely enriching experience for Vânia who learned in different aspects. What it would had happened if she would had said no?…
